New GUI for CPE
WILIGEAR is introducing first in the industry Adobe FLEX 3 based
Wireless LAN equipment management graphical user interface (GUI). The
new firmware is especially built for WBD-111 and WBD-500 CPU boards that
are great for building customer premise equipment (CPE).
Even better performance
The new approach gives unparalleled flexibility and power for management
of WLAN devices without sacrificing performance, reducing waiting time
and at the same time increasing customer satisfaction. Powerful Adobe
FLEX 3 capabilities allow building a convenient, responsive and good
looking embedded device management GUI or real desktop application. With
the new firmware release WILIGEAR opens a new page in WLAN device
management allowing conservation of usually limited resources on the
embedded device.
Flex
Flex is a highly productive, free open source framework for building and
maintaining expressive web applications that deploy consistently on all
major browsers, desktops, and operating systems.
Standalone application
Additionally, the new GUI can be used as a WEB based application or in a
form of a desktop based application based on Adobe AIR runtime. In this
case same GUI copy can be used for management of multiple devices by
simply entering an IP address on the login window of the GUI.
Great looks
The new firmware boasts attractive look with shiny rounded corners and a
smart layout of the device configuration options, but it’s not all about
beauty.
